ludhianvi Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 IMO, India cannot play well with just six batsmen and 5 bowlers. India got its ODI success with 7 batsmen and 4 bowlers. Until we can find a genuine #7 allrounder, we cannot afford to go in with just 6 batsmen. With six batsmen the opening pair are looking to consolidate from the first ball. And if two further wickets fall, we pretty much shut the shop.
Zap_Brannigan Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Right now, we are goin in with 4 batsmen,2 WKs and 5 bowlers....
monkeyfood Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 I think the indian side should train all players to become allrounders if they to make a risk like that
simba28 Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 bad decision to go in with 5 bowlers when ur batting line up isnt performing well.. and the tail is no longer wagging.. they shud have learned their lesson from the 3 rd ODI.. dont understand the logic
