Chandan Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Wow BB!! Good break-downs! But I agree with Holysmoke---Sachin needs to be dropped!
Holysmoke Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 umm.. i was being sarcastic...:eyedance: Sachin, and dropped from ODI team.. after how he's performed in last 2 months ????????
Chandan Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 umm.. i was being sarcastic...:eyedance: Sachin, and dropped from ODI team.. after how he's performed in last 2 months ???????? Oh yes!! Exactly after seeing how he performed in last 2 months!! Don't you think he should not have returned to ODI cricket after his 2005 injury??:P:D

Anakin Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Oh yes!! Exactly after seeing how he performed in last 2 months!! Don't you think he should not have returned to ODI cricket after his 2005 injury??:P:D If he didn't Dravid's captaincy would've been over after the WC. Real shame that didn't happen though. He's clueless most of the times.
Dravid_The_Best Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 out of Tendulkar´s 81 50´s india has won 47 matches. but out of ganguly 69 50´s India has managed to win 39 matches. Out of Dravid´s 81 50´s india has also managed to win 47 matches. so stats show that tendulkars 50´s are equally valuable to dravid´s.because both has won 47 matches with thier 50´s. (for those who call Tendulkar bigger matchwinner than dravid). Mr.Ganguly´s winning percentage with 50 is slight better than both dravid and Tendulkar.
Anakin Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 What about 100s? And he is a bigger matchwinner, just go check how many MoMs in won matches.
Anakin Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 who cares? we are down 1-3. Yeah, drop him I say :two_thumbs_up:
Shehezaada Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 great work bheembhai...but shouldn't the average including not outs be higher then the average excluding not outs?
Guest BossBhai Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 -- Removed on request of the user --
Shehezaada Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 What I meant was considering the not outs as outs (i.e including them in the denominator)... or excluding the not outs from the denominator (As is done traditionally) pefect..good job bud!
CC1981 Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Here are some more stats about the Boss that is far more relevant today: Tendy in his last eight test series (minus minnows like BD) : 1. 70 runs @ 17.50 vs AUS ( 9th in average, 10th in total runs in the Indian side) 2. 55 runs @ 27.50 vs RSA( 6th in average, 5th in total runs) 3. 255 runs @ 51.00 vs PAK( 4th in average, 3rd in total runs) 4. 189 runs @ 37.80 vs SL ( 5th in average, 3rd in total runs) 5. 63 runs @ 21.00 vs PAK( 10th in average, 8th in total runs) 6. 83 runs @ 20.75 vs ENG(9th in average, 10th in total runs) 7. 199 runs @ 33.16 vs RSA(4th in average, 2nd in total runs) 8. 228 runs @ 38.00 vs ENG(6th in average, 3rd in total runs) ============================ As the record shows, Sachin is a faded master in Tests, his time is over and he is no longer batting like a great or even a good batsman- more like a poor batsman who used to be great. He fails to average above 40 in 7 out of 8 series against decent opposition (and that too, in this day and age, where batting is easy, bowling quality is $hit and nothing like the 90s), he fails to top the average sheet or the total runs sheet for a series from the Indian side even once and the most he gets to is either middle of the table or near the bottom. Guy needs to realize that he was a great batsman, he now IS a poor batsman, worse than 25-30 others in the world easily and he needs to RETIRE from test cricket instead of simply playing for the sake of test records.
Anakin Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Once again, playing with the same numbers without much context. And it'll be a total waste of time, so not gonna engage into it again.
