Seems like no strategy was discussed last night

Bhajji and ak should have slogged blindly from all 2 or 3. They just cant bat on this pitch with a defensive mindset. If they had slogged a few, who knows they may have added 10-12 more to the total.

 If only people understand the difference between talking and doing.
If someone said don't slog, how hard is it not to slog? See ZK's shot, pure slog. If someone said to Gambhir farm the strike and he keeps taking a single off the first ball, is it that hard to follow? It's not hard to follow simple instructions.

If one does not want to do it, it is hard to follow especially if one has personal interests in mind. Gambhir need not have farmed the strike with Harbhajan but with Ojha it was pure stupidity. You are implying that Gambhir is playing by what has been discussed - I don't think so.

I was actually disappointed he scored runs this match. He has been woeful for a long time and this will extend his stay.

Wouldn't have made any difference even if we made 200 in second innings. Spinners would have let s down anyway.
Correct. Infact sadly or happily, I would say that we missed the pace of Yadav gere. He was very good at A'bad giving break throughs when the spinners were tired. And this pitch would have helped him a bit more with the abrasiveness and a lot more bounce.

The team had already given up last night. You could see resignation in their faces when batsmen were facing the turn and bounce from Monty and Swann. I wasn't expecting any fightback. A humiliation inside 4 days was right rewards for England's better spinners by some distance.

Yep but the intent must always be there. Look at SA bat on the last day, a lot of guts.
