oh oh...heres another one: (got this from a humanity page in facebook) HOW MANY OF U HAVE THE COURAGE TO SHARE THIS ON UR WALL!! An Appeal for Strict Law Against Rape.. {Please Share this & Spread the Message } The following Story would Shake your Soul.... ... This is Asma, a 14-yr old girl from Malvani, Malad, Mumbai.. She was kidnapped from her locality by 5 men living in the same locality in the month of May 2011.She was in captivity in the same area. A complaint was made to police but of no use. This 14 yr old girl was raped innumerable times by those 5 men. After 2-3 months they lost interest in her.. Now the question was "WHo WILL SPEND MONEY FOR HER FOOD ???" They started putting it on each other. Result : She was given 1 vada-pav in 4-5 days. After 5 months, she was found in garden. She was a bag of bones when she was found. When she was operated, doctors found pieces of paper, mud, soil, stones in her stomach. According to doctors, because of hunger she ate up the paper in which the vada-pav was given. Her situation was so bad, she ate up stones, dress, & soil.... The doctors were unable to explain her situation. After suffering for more than 5 months, she finally breathed her last on 14 Nov 2011 (Children's Day). You might have heard many stories wherein people are slaughtered & raped... But imagine a 14 yr old girl being raped innumerable times & she died every moment for more than 150 days...EVERY MOMENT...... We cant even imagine it......... This is one of the most horrific incidents that has happend to any human. You won't see this news on any television, may be because of political pressure it is being suppressed. I would like to make two request with this: 1. The 5 men who are absconding now, should be caught & punished severely. 2. An APPEAL FOR A "STRICTER LAW AGAINST RAPE" Please Share this & Spread the Message !!!!! 524092_230901807016417_1773519135_n.jpg

well this corruption is a big part of the problem; 1 gap in the system leads to another It is not practical for police to control animal tendencies in a the vast city but not keeping such rules under control and collaborating with the ones blatantly violating them is unforgivable

Damini hasn't died. Instead she's moved to a better world where no Rapes happen. . . If Government can send the victim to Singapore for better treatment, I want them to send the accused to Saudi Arabia for better justice. . . "Sorry Guys n Gals aaj ke liye itne hi post honge, i dont feel like postin more" ... -Asterix from facebook
What do these fools who know about Saudi?? There was one of our MLA sahib who was demandiing sharia law for such cases. She would have been ordered to be stoned or slashed by the clerics for going out with a stranger. Also they would have wanted 4 male witnesses (or 8 female witnesses). http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-202_162-3511560.html
A Saudi court sentenced a woman who had been gang raped to six months in jail and 200 lashes - more than doubling her initial penalty for being in the car of a man who was not a relative, a newspaper reported Thursday.

PMO released a written statement in the morning. Sonia Gandhi gave the dull televised address, so i guess he was asked to keep quiet as usual. His only contribution throughout this has been that one theek hain waala readout address. Pathetic leader.

It seems that the juvenile rapist (who turns 18 in 4 months) in this case may get away with just 3 years in juvenile home even if he is convicted of murder. In 2006 the age limit for juvenile crime was raised from 16 to 18 - a pretty nonsensical move considering that a 17 yr old is essentially an adult in today's social context. This is all the more ironic considering that the juvenile rapist was reportedly the most brutal of the six rapists in this Delhi case. The only hope for justice is that somehow the bone-marrow examination places him as above 18 yrs. Later, the law could be changed to make reduce the age limit. Delhi rape: Why we need tougher juvenile crime laws http://www.rediff.com/news/report/delhi-rape-why-we-need-tougher-juvenile-crime-laws/20121229.htm

Saw some Human rights lawyer on one Channel saying that the law were like this because he should be given a chance to reform, and we should study how his mind got polluted and how he got into bad company. WTF ? See the type of crime this guy committed and he was apparently the most brutal too. And it's not like he was 10/12 and forced to do it by others too ffs. He would be a adult in 4 months time if he's telling the truth. That act as it stands is almost a invitation for 16/17 year old to commit all sorts of crimes before they turn 18. And in this case they'll probably do the bone marrow test but what about others where 19/20 years may claim to be underage ? These parliamentarians make all sorts of ridiculous laws with loopholes, and leave it to the Judiciary to close. And if they don't uniformly then it's exploited by criminals.

If need be the parliament should retroactively amend the law to reduce the age limit for juvenile offenses to 16 yrs. I cant imagine how people will tolerate anything less than hanging for this hideous animal. Apparently, he was the one who inserted the rod into the girl and pulled out her intestines with it .. there is no way he can be called a juvenile.

They can't retroactively amend it, i am afraid. Would set a very very risky precedent and SC won't accept it for criminal law anyway. I can understand age of 18 for petty small crimes, but there is no way such hideous crimes can be considered juvenile ones or "acts of innocence" as the act calls it. This is what happens when these parliamentarians don't fully think through a law and then don't amend it again quickly. In some states in the US there are waiver rules where the judge can waive the protections granted to a juvenile in extreme circumstances and try him/her as an adult. I dont know if this can be applicable to India. And I dont see how a retroactive amendment to the law will fall foul of the courts. The trial is yet to start and it cannot be argued that the offender was committing the crime with the legal remedy in mind (that would negate the whole concept of him being juvenile). Secondly, this amendment would have near unanimous support of the public (except for some activist nutters), so the SC will have to "go with the flow". I firmly believe that the Indian public will not countenance this person getting off lightly, especially once the extent of the brutality he inflicted on the girl is made known.
