Murderers/Serial Killers getting Bail

Another incident of brutal rape in New Delhi and the predictable responses follow. Responses such as "They should be given the death sentence" "They SHOULD be Hanged/killed/Castrated" are emblematic of the impotent Rage that is pervasive in India's Citizens. What is the use of wishful thinking ? Even some brutal Serial Killers have not been given death sentences in India. Read on CNN IBN about the 50 member Serial Killer gang from Meerut that has murdered over 250 people !. These people will never be hanged , We will be lucky if they get life imprisonment. Take the example of the curious case of Serial Killer Vijay Palande. Vijay Palande was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in 2002 for a double murder committed in 1998. In August 2003 he was granted parole leave for 60 days, but he did not return !! A Murderer convicted for life after killing 2 people being let off on parole leave by our criminal justice system.Well at some point in time he was rearrested . Then this Murderer sought for Bail and the Bombay High Court granted it ! in Dec 2007 with conditions that he report to a police thana every week . He absconded. Now this guy has been arrested again for murdering 2 more persons in March 2012..aspiring Filmaker Karan Kakkar and senior citizen Arunkumar Tikku .
