Either way, BSF should arrest rather than shoot any unarmed person. The situation is complicated by the presence of HuJI in Bangladesh.

I was reading an Indian journalist assessment of BD yesterday where BD was being celebrated for how far it had come post 1971. You do realize, and I am not rubbing it in, that an American biologist had famously stated that BD should be allowed to die of hunger in 1971. Anyway the article mentioned how BD has been lot more stable than Pakistan, from which it was carved from. And in many ways have become better than West Bengal which is still stuck in old centuries. Point being, you can follow good articles if you wanted to. Indian media also has some good journalists who give credit where it is due.

As far drug smugglers are concerned ,as long s they pay their cut to BSF I don't think they will shoot them.Even organised cattle smugglers escape from them

BSF are definately trigger happy bunch but it is wrong to claim that they shoot farmers inside bd territory. And just one weak point is enough for a person to loose his credibility and people will not take you seriously even for your other strong points.. PS: I am bangladeshi..

I think you need start petition in bangladesh to boycott India links from business to government interaction. Maldives and Sri Lanka have been quite effective at that.
