Vivek.S.123 Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Who should lead the test team if Dhoni leaves and why?
vandokkum Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I think you are better off without a captain, players can randomly pick who goes out for toss. While in the field it doesn't look like there is a leader.
Pagalpanti Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 With our test team the issue is no one apart from Kohli/Pujara have a fixed spot. And even they are footing themselves into the team at the moment. So either BCCI have to risk with one of these 2 or they have to continue with Dhoni till one of these 2 settles in quickly.

Nice point. Dhoni is going to remain captain for the Australian tests then! We need young, fresh, and raring to go blood in the test team. We need a brand new top order supporting Pujara who bats at #3. Hopefully the Australian tests will be the last for Sehwag and Tendulkar (Gambhir should stay for experience, as he is better than both Viru and Tendu in tests) We have so many batsmen in India who are ready for Test Cricket, but the 2 that should be played are Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane. My Top 7 for the first Aussie test: 1. Murali Vijay 2. Gautam Gambhir 3. Cheteshwar Pujara 4. Ajinkya Rahane 5. Virat Kohli 6. MS Dhoni 7. Ravindra Jadeja
