P.S; Hey, knowing your history, I am pretty sure you will insist that the Vedas can explain America's 21st century foreign policy. After all, there's an explanation for everything in the Vedas, right? If you had cared to research, you would have found out that Amreeka's War Industry and its position at the head of the table of the current economic system are two sides of the same coin. The torture of terror suspects using water-boarding and other hideous tactics? The absence of the relentless 'America's at War', 'Axis of Evil'... 'Its us against them...', 'In this War, God is on our side' pointless saber-rattling that was so characteristic of the Bush administration that achieved nothing but deeper divisions between the West and the middle east? You also know that one of the main reasons why Gitmo is still open is because Congress is unwilling to authorize the funds required to close it. But here's another fun fact - In the last 5 years, not a single new detainee has been added to Gitmo, not one. People have died, people have left, people have been deported. But not a single new addition. Obama's no dove. But he's no war-mongerer like those lunatic neocons llike Wolfowitz, Rumself who have scarred the earth for good. I was trying to stick to the topic with my analogy; I insisted that my analogy be strictly applied to the drone-story. But, you steered it away from the topic. So here are my drive-by responses: (a) As far as scarring the earth goes, waterboarding or drone-kills? If I knew how, I would alter that picture to show the real BHO to be a GWB plus devil-horns. (b) Gitmo was supposed to be closed in a year after Obama-I came to power. Dem House. Dem Senate. What happened there? Was it a case of broken promises? Or a case of incompetence and ignorance in making promises that sounded good, but were not feasible? I say the latter. © Following the peak of the war against the Taliban in 2002 - 2004, how many prisoners did the GWB govt add to Gitmo? I ask out of ignorance. Again, not defending GWB, but trying to put your data (OBAMA did not ADD a single prisoner) into context.
