Pakistan have announced plans for an international Twenty20 competition to be held in October 2008, featuring foreign stars and six franchised teams. It will be different from the domestic one played for two years in Pakistan. "The Pakistan Premier League is part of the International Champions League, approved by the ICC, and will be run by five boards," a spokesman said. Each team will comprise four foreign players, four regional players and the rest retired and under-21 players.

Why do P@kis copy everything Indians do ? This little league of theirs won't hold a candle to the ICL. Besides, where will they get the money to lure foreign stars ? The PCB are nowhere near as rich and don't have any massive Indian firms acting as benefactors. The Americans can only supply that country with so much aid - there are limits to their benevolence.

Hahaha, I can see a similar situation to football where we have the English Premiership, and the Scottish Premier League (which is so pathetic, the 2 teams with any decent history, who win everything between them, regularly beg to come over the border and compete in the English league instead, and if they did, they wouldn't even finish in the top half of the table)...

Nah, not even close. A p@ki cricket league would be the equivalent of the Eircom League (the Irish league) which is even sh*ttier and has no decent foreign players in it - which is exactly what the p@kis will be getting
