Stupid Ponting cost Oz the Ashes

I will agree - it was clearly a batting day, I don't know what Ponting was thinking. This after Ponting has had a legacy of "putting the runs on the board" philosophy. That said, I think Ponting panicked after McGrath was injured on the morning of that Test match.

I think he was always going to bowl anyway, when McGrath got injured it didnt matter. Not sure about panicking. At least we got 10 wickets in the day, our batting on day 2 was the real disaster, we had a chance to bat England out the match, but collapsed.
