What had been an occasional chant in the league games, became the de facto "war-cry" yesterday in the finals. It was everywhere yesterday; on the roads on the way to the game, on the pubs where we were waiting for the english weather to stop pissing, whenever an english supporter strayed around a mile of the stadium and obviously when the game started. It was extra special since it was tailored for the drum beat from these guys - The 90% of the crowd supporting India helped too. But for brief moment, the english took that and changed it to "Ohh Ravi bopara" but Jadeja hit back and made that chant his own. I am sure people watching it on TV could hear it when jadeja was On. Cold, wet and it took 6 hours to watch the 1st ball, but goddamn it was worth it.

What a turn around for the man and hats off to him for having the confidence and character to do so :hatsoff: 3-4 years back when he plodded around to score 25 off 35 deliveries in that T20 against England, most people (including me) thought he wouldn't amount to much in intl cricket. I revised my opinion earlier this year after his stellar performances in home odis and tests against Aus, but even then I thought he would be good only in sub-continent and someone like Irfan Pathan would be better suited away from sub-continent. I never thought his batting was good enough for him to bat at 7, but have to say he proved me wrong I am still skeptical about him in the team at 7 on hard & bouncy pitches in Aus, but I look forward to be proven wrong in 2015 WC

RES Wyatt. Had a great time. To be honest, all the previous games were much less interesting because we won way too easily.
