http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,,20939445-2882,00.html Because Mummy said so. Several months after this article, I'm still awaiting evidence that the Dicktorian media, Stodge and his mother were right. Even now, Stodge continues to foul up the one day team ahead of Voges, Haddin and far more deserving bats. It's not anti-Victorian bias, it's just that you're overrated and a flat track bully. Neither. Phil Jaques should be the first man selected for the existing vacancy (Langer's spot). Chris Rogers has also been making a lot of runs and opens as well, and given that Jaques has batted in the middle order before, I would not oppose a top order with Rogers and Hayden opening together, followed by Ponting, Jaques, Clarke and Hussey. Good chance though that Symonds will take the middle order test spot - his test century at the MCG in December was an outstanding innings, and a thrilling one to watch live, and his bowling will no doubt help his case. Plus he's so ridiculously talented and the Aussie selectors are fixated on the idea of an all rounder at 6.
