maggot_brain
Lo it seems I have forgotten the root password.. can;t write anythign in usr/lib There is no root password by default in Ubuntu. Are you using Ubuntu? You just type sudo before any command to run as root.. It will ask you for your account password NOT your root password, as there isn't one. maggot_brain
Man working with command lines after eons feels so cumbersome Apparently flash is integrated into the latest 64-bit Ubuntu (Gutsy) . Open synaptic and do a search for package name flashplugin-nonfree. Install it and then restart firefox. This should work. If you need any further help you're best off going to the Ubuntu forums, www.ubuntuforums.org . I use Debian so I can't really help you any further. BTW have you finally realised I'm not masquerading as anybody else?

maggot_brain
Sorry boss how many times I will have to apologize.. Thanks for the inputs, will give it a try again today.. ok sorry. But as I said my last post should work for you. Are you using Ubuntu? The problem with flash is that there is not source code for it has only been released for x86 platforms hence all the having to mess about to get it to work. Works fine for me on X86-64 Debian and Ubuntu is based on Debian.
