Alternative Captain Thread

I think we can unanimously say that MSD needs to be relieved as captain from the test team. humiliating is putting it lightly. The buck ends with him. If this was any other captain in any other team, he would have been gone LONG back. Who are the alternatives? Do we give it to Virat, the prodigal son, who has been a shadow for the last 6 months? ChePu, who seems more and more confused every time he gets out? Gambhir, once considered the next captain of India, is as good as gone. I hope to never see him playing cricket for India again. Shikhar Dhawan isn't good enough to warrant a position in the team. Vijay is the only one who has shown some solidity. But he does not seem to be captaincy material. Rahane, maybe? Also doesn't seem good enough now. Ashwin is a choice. But he also is not good enough for Australia. And he is already going to be bowling so much AND batting AND you want him to be captain? Sounds like a recipe for disaster. What do we do?!?! It looks like MSD will stay until 'Rat is back.
