am beginning to, not trust our Media,especially the T.V., be it about their coverage of Gujarat elections , or what's happening in J&K. They are being opinionated, selective, crass commercial especially in matters involving Politicians like Modi. Nowadays when i watch news , it feels like all the English news channels are doing nothing but what they're accusing MODI of, ABSOLUTE propoganda. As if they are the torch bearers of the sole Truth in this country, while whatever they do smacks of crass commercialization. How can any one trust this kind of media that is so much Money oriented, never fails to sit on the judgement seat and take moralistic stance in cases involoving Ram jeth malani but the same media accuses the Shiv Sena of being moral polices when they oppose Valentine's day. the only difference being the way each one takes the moral stand.

Sonia calls Modi merchant of death Modi calls sonia preserver of terrorist like Afzal guru and sohrabuddin.. No mention of any hinduims of muslim but these 24/7 channels are busy with modi communal modi raking hindutva.. Somoen should ask them which poll gave clowns like Afzal guru and soharabuddin right to represent muslim.. Yes needless to say noone is askign why UPA chair-person sud be allowed to use that kind of langauge but it's not on if Modi responds to those words. Sonia apparently was talking about terrorism.. Poor woman is oblivious of the fat that since UPA has come POTA has been dropped incidents of terror has skyrocketed.. not only that not even single person has been charged so far in last 5-6 terror attacks.. So mcuh for existing laws can take care of terrorism..

In fact at one stage Javedkar asked that reporter was Sonia right while calling Modi merchant of death or was Digvijay Singh right while calling Gujratai hindu terrorists.. i really wonder how these english channels even make a communal issue out of this sohrabuddin statements by Modi. It's a fake encounter case and Modi says one who takes gun meets the same fate. And here i see all channels screaming "MODI playing the communal card". How does that become a communal statement???? just a case in point. when you see this kind of reporting, you cant stop yourself from thinking that this is a propoganda and moralistic ,opinionated , media just doing the very same thing it pointing fingers at.

In their eyes Sohrabuddin is representative of muslims they conveneinetly forget other guy killed right hand of Soharabuddin in crime Prajapati happened to be hindu.. So what is Modi now anti muslim and anti hindu.. Suddenly they have changed tune they say it's not about Sohrabuddin it;s about law and order.. Is it really; because had it been about law and order then even on this index of fake-encounter purging would have started with worst-afflicted states and there top two happens to be congress ruled Maharashtra and Andhrapradesh.

Why worry about the media .... the average joes are not very different .... follow this forum and it will become apparant how most of us are wired to be pseudo secularists. No amount of destruction and death in J&K or other places will change their thinking and opinion.

you are right , but people who have an unfair advantage of maximum reach[ which average joes like you and me dont have] should broadcast just news and stop with that. Not thrust or make opinions . i like BBC in this respect for their matter of fact reporting. Almost nothing gets reported about J&K. why there's no TRP na dmoney in that , while they flash Dhoni's infatuation with Deepika padukone like it's national news. Shame on such channels.

forget all the mumbo jumbo , the question is do you believe that it was a fake encounter. If not , was Modi government justified in eliminating criminal elements this way instead of using the courts ?

Haven't we discussed that .. No in eyes of law they are not justified if caught but I whole heartedly support eliminating history sheeters like these in a country where politicis is played with law and order issue POTA/TADA gets dropped for appeasement of these criminals and they roam around free, police had to resort to these methods.. And once again Modi doesn't have anything to do with it guilty party is being tried in court. Now u answer my question forgetting mumbo/jumbo:is congress bigger criminal on that count or not because they are the leader of fake encounter pack as of today .. If yes what moral right they have to malign gujrat govt on that issue.... If yes why is not media pillorying Deshmukh and Naidu the history-sheeter of fake-encounters.. If yes why aren't u talking about these luminaries instead of Modi a small fish on this count.
