well, if team's captain backs someone, selectors should listen to the captain...Its not really awful choice right...Sehwag has great track record in Australia..its good precedence, selectors listening to team's think tank.

Sehwag was Kumble's choice, the team management's original choice as well as the original choice of a section of the selection comittee including the chairman of selectors. Another section of the selection comittee backed by certain sections of the BCCI contrived to have him excluded and so a "squad of 24" was announced, which was a "political effort". This was later overturned and the original 16 , as agreed upon by Kumble and Vengsarkar &co was selected...what is wrong ? what happened eventually was what should have happened originally...all the "ugly politics " happened in between and Kumble firmly and correctly set it right.
