I remember Ponting smoked 100 in both innings of his 100th test. On his peak, he made batting look bloody easy and trashed all the attacks both home and away (exception of India).

I remember Ponting smoked 100 in both innings of his 100th test. On his peak, he made batting look bloody easy and trashed all the attacks both home and away (exception of India). 

They were special knocks, and as usual came when the team needed them most. He was a very intimidating No. 3 and treated almost all attacks with utter disdain. An aggressive batsman, an exceptional fielder, a great captain, he was a complete package.
