Capped players who have played more than two matches till the halfway stage of the tournament can not be traded. This rules out trading of any big names. “There are few grey areas. A number of franchises already have 25 players in the squad, so they are unlikely to make use of this mid-season loan transfer,” an official of a franchise told India Today. “If a big name was available we would have looked into it, but the current lot doesn’t peak our interest,” another franchise official added. Still there are some big players like David Willey, Moeen Ali, Parthiv Patel, Adam Milne and Carlos Brathwaite who have not played a single game for their franchise.
