the Host Nation status for the World Cup? All of South Asia is hosting the next World Cup in 2011. We can do it ourselves--why put up with this bullshyte?!?! Our stadia in Gujarat (Motera, etc.), Punjab and Rajesthan (Mohali and Jaipur), and SO MANY other are absolutely first class. They are huge stadia with all the modern amenities. And by 2011, ... I am absolutely sure than even the other "fixer-upper" stadia will be remodeled. India should get the right to hold this tournament on their own--the country can aboslutely support it, no??? :wall:

Re: Why does India always have to share ... I think its done for financial reasons, for example if Bangladesh play England in Delhi most of the stadium would be empty, whereas in Dhaka it would be full.

After all, Germany hosted the soccer world Cup--it wasn't split 80 different ways between them and Poland, and Leichtenstein and Pfichtenstein, etc. etc.
