Re: 'We won't tamper with the openers' - Vengsarkar Vengsarkar is big on Jaffer and hence his inclusion in the ODI squad. I believe the only purpose for Vensgarkar's visit is to ensure that Jaffer and Ganguly get to play all 3 tests.

Depends on how he performs. We have a few FC batsman looking to make their way through. He needs to average above 40s or atleast 35s to be able to stick around. Also, like Kabira said in the other thread, it depends on whether we are winning or not as well. When we win, all individual performances are generally forgotten.

Re: 'We won't tamper with the openers' - Vengsarkar Good to hear they would used proper openers. Pathan or Dravid would have been wasted at top. Given we will see 2 of gambhir, jaffer and sehwag at top this creates problem with team selection. Rahul, Saurav and Sachin will definetly be in XI. VVS is VC so he cant be dropped. So they either drop pathan (150+ notout) and play 4 bowlers or play pathan and 3 bowlers or do they have balls to drop one of Sachin or VVS and play pathan + 4 bowlers.
