The_Black_Prince
Re: Questions for Srinath No Sri as yet ??? OK...........lemme help him out: Dada - Spraying the ball - that as you rightly pointed out is a matter of discipline. The ability to keep the ball on length and line comes from hard work at the nets day in day out. Plus stamina.......from running long distances etc etc. Hard Work !! Rajeev.........yes there is a cricketing reason - the dustbowl nature of Indian pitches which discourages fast bowling and props up spinners and mediocre medium pacers. It may also have something to do with diet. Fast bowlers need to be strong men ! Mad Max - "great" fast bowlers becoming crap - Simple! They were not great to begin with. Yuh gotta perform in all conditions before we start talkin bout "great". OK.......that's it from me for now.........till Sri shows up ! Link to comment
gator
Re: Questions for Srinath It may also have something to do with diet. Fast bowlers need to be strong men ! obviously u dont know nothing about indians.... did u know, we were ranked among top 8 in wrestling in the whole world..... do u know, it hasbeen there since our vedic times.... do u know, Shivaji's son Sambhaji was a great wrestler tht he once tore open a lion with his bare hands in combat.... do u know, a pehlwan's diet is prescribed to be sattvic in nature to compensate for the rajasic nature of their activities.... it has to be predominantly ghee, milk and nuts... this has been written in our vedic texts, which is the height of science... how many guys u want me to show in the gym who eat steaks like crazy and still look like a poodle.... why is aggy and sami faster than a buff looking Darren Gough... and yeah, Srinath is a vegetarian who clocked 155 kph and Akram is a meat eater who never crossed 145, his whole life... The_Black_Prince
Re: Questions for Srinath Maaaan........you make me want to laugh with that tirade. Like it or not, what you eat, your strength and how you exercise play significant roles in producing a fast bowler. Link to comment
jf1gp_1
Re: Questions for Srinath Question for Srinath Who is the dirtiest of the lot ? The kind allergic to taking bath. Any singers or dancers in Indian team ? Best pranks while team was on tour ? Who is the most sporting and unsporting when it comes to pulling leg. Link to comment
King
Re: Questions for Srinath We also know the number of quicks West Indies or Pakistan has turned this century despite all the meat, stamina and the rest that TBP thinks helps a fast bowler. :chin: Most Pakistan and WI bowlers have turned up below par so called fast bowlers that hardly even reach 135 let alone 155. Don't tell me you still want to live in 1980s :hic: No point living in the past and don't tell me steak in the olden days worked better :eew: You tell us why are there not any more tall fast WI bowers. Don't give names out like Taylor and Edwards. Give us somone that has played for a while and has been express since Walshy and Amby. Link to comment
yoda
Re: Questions for Srinath TBP, of course diet matters. But you seriously think Irfan Pathan who was bamboozling batsmen in early 2004 has suddenly stopped eating cause he wants to save all of his 10 crores from endorsements? Link to comment
The_Black_Prince
Re: Questions for Srinath Yody...........Pathan did not bamboozle batsmen outside the sub-continent.............yes ?? When he was exposed to other conditions, he was.......ummm....exposed. Remember that first ball Wide in the first ODI game in the Caribbean ?? Like Harmy's wide at the Gabba ?? That was a precursor to showing that Pathan is really nothing special. Link to comment
kabira
Re: Questions for Srinath >Like Harmy's wide at the Gabba ?? >That was a precursor to showing that Pathan is really nothing special. hmm, dint Ambrose bowl longest over in the Test ......so he is nothing special?? Link to comment

yoda
Re: Questions for Srinath How does the sub-continent help a swing bowler? Yes, if his form and technique of 2004 Pak series were to be seen again he will bamboozle everyone. Deliveries from Irfan to Inzy and Yousuf were deadlier than the recent ones from Zak to Smith. Link to comment
