King Tendulkar
Reason I say this is not cos he has been dropped but just I feel we may have seen the best from him. As his success was based on tremendous hand eye coordination. If his eye hand coordination has deterioated a bit with age, then he does not have a sound solid technique to fall back on to continue to chisel runs out! Others can fall back on good technique to continue to pile on the runs. But just like gayle who also relies on having a good eye, if that goes a tad, they may never go back to former glories! Ram
Sehwag's technique is much under-rated. A player with JUST hand-eye co-ordination cant average 50 in test cricket after nearly 50 test matches , with centuries in Aus , S.Africa ( in his debut) , England and a couple of ODI centuries in New Zealand in a series when other batsman failed to put bat to ball. Just because he has a flourishing back-lift and free style of play on the off-side , doesnt mean sehwag has a bad technique. Sehwag's bane has always been shot selection. When he was in form , there was so much positive energy in his batting that everything worked. Now , out of form , short of confidence, its Sehwag's not-so-sure shot selection that is hurting him.
