MundaPakistani
It is not about the # of sixes, it is also not about the fact that he scored 85 runs off 52 balls. The reason why his innings was so good is simply because he came in with the team in serious trouble at 78/5 with a RR of only 3.4. Actually looking at the situation at the time a lot of our fellow posters were in mood for some serious celebration. The young ones like BlueBridge, Mouni, Jelebi,Dravid etc had already left for the market to get some firecrackers. Others like Cricketics and Predetor were trying to get hold of the ZIM team for an open bus parade in the capital city of Delhi. So while every one was in such great mood something totally unexpected happened- A LATE WINTER STORM which not only caused the cancelation of the parade but also swept away the firecrackers bought for which was thought to be a very special occasion. Amazing how things changed in a tiny period between post 10 and 11 http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=88471 So now as the sun tries to break through on the dawn of a brand new day our friends are seen sitting outside in a less than joyous mood. Some of them are repeating a phrase along the lines of "Saala Afridi- paisay bhee zaya kara diyee aur mood bhee kharab kara dia". My message to our friends in this moment of despair is that there are still 2 more ODIs to go so please don't be too disheartened and keep your hopes up. Link to comment
MundaPakistani
good one!! :two_thumbs_up: It is quite amazing as how some of the shots don't go higher than 10-15 feet yet clear the boundary by 15-20 feet. Another strange aspect is that he doesn't put his body weight behind the shots and almost all of his power is generated by the arm speed. Link to comment
