"It was with great difficulty that my family and I managed to board the first available Patna-bound train," he said in anguish. Harihar Yadav, Lallan Prasad, Lal Bihari Prasad Yadav and Jitendra Kumar — all from Harnaut in Nalanda district — recounted similar tales of woe. They were assaulted in an organized manner by MNS workers in Nasik and suffered injuries. Harihar and Lallan, who were employed in a Nashik factory for a long time, lost their valuables during the attack. "We were threatened with dire consequences if we did not leave Maharashtra immediately," Harihar said. Jitendra said that despite repeated attacks on Biharis and north Indians, the local police remained a silent spectator. Meanwhile, the occupancy rate in all Mumbai-bound trains from East Central Railway (ECR) has gone down marginally in the wake of attacks on Biharis in Maharashtra. Many passengers who had booked their reservations in Mumbai-bound trains have sought refund of the tickets. However, there were many others who preferred to travel to Mumbai on Wednesday. About 16 pairs of passenger trains run from different places in Bihar to Mumbai daily. ECR deputy chief commercial manager A K Rajak said the occupancy rate in most of the Mumbai-bound trains currently is about 90 per cent, while it about 50 per cent in the newly-introduced passenger trains. A senior ECR official, while rattling off data regarding availability of berths in various Mumbai-bound trains, said the railways are bound to incur huge loss if the attacks on Biharis and north Indians continue in Maharashtra.

Not as in fascination but more as an intrigue. 2) I think that there is a little bit of Bihar/UP mafia thingy going in somewhere and I see you touched it too. Here is my thinking of Thackerays(Balls and Raj) and their "ethnic" attack : 1) 60s and 70s when they went against South Indian. This coincided with the growth of Southie don Vardhabhai(Vardharjan Mudhaliar), later to be annointed through movies like Nayakan and Dayawan. 2) 90s when they went against Muslim. This coincided directly with Dawood Ibrahim and Chotta Shakeel. Indeed Balls Thackeray went public with a - Unke paas Dawood hai to apne paas Gawli hai. 3) 2000s when Bihari/UP heavyweights have started to get popular south of Kandivali area all the way to Viraar. I would bet there is an undercurrent here of underworld getting powerful, and some politician behind the scenes invoking Thackeray to curb them in. xxx

IBN is a sensational news channel with Missionary fundings...you will hardly see them covering Christan missionaries operatiosn in tribal areas of Indian and in slum areas. Anyway, regarding this whole fiasco, I would say, if we Indians really want well being of our nation and unity, why to give coverage to juvenile power lusty leadres like Raj Thackeray and thus making them known to masses, if ever their will be real firm unity for well being of our Nation, then that very day Media will BOYCOT 2-bit leaders like Raj Thackeray and thus making them irrelevant to masses at large. MNS is still not a big party, just 50-60 MNS workers gather and pelt stone, vandalize shops etc...but by giving coverage to this media makes sure that Crores of other Maharshtrians with some "regional" aspiration and pride is aroused and some percentage of them start relating themselves with opportunist politicians like Raj Thackeray. sadly, that day will never come, when Indian media will come under full control of INDIAN INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES, feeding the news which promotes national integrity and national interest.

Mumbai and Mafia has been there always I don; think it has anything to do with Shiv Sena...If anything since advent of BT and Shive Sena frequency of riots have gone down otherwise it used to be daily affair. Same was the case in Ahmedabad before arrival of BJP riot was daily feature..
