Sign of matured foreign policy all we needed to do was extend a gesture of acceptane of their existance and things have changed.. Israel has done a lot of things (and still does a lot of things) that are very good reasons for it to get pillored. Not only is your stance completely one-eyed uneducated on Israel-Palestine issue ( it is NOT as cut-n-dried as you think- the Palestinians have very genuine and legitimate cause to want Israel to stop existing and i am with them on this one), it is completely devoid of the so-called precious 'dharma/morality' you thump your chest about occasionally. A deal with the devil gets you in $hit. Pure and simple- Israel should be ours arms & weapons buddy and NOTHING more. For not only is it against INdia's interests to buddy up to Israel, Israel is a rather despicable nation not worthy of being buddied-up to.

As long as we are not arming palestinaian financially and extend bare minimum courtesy to israel's existance Israel seems to be oke with it.... They can certainly help us in big way in agriculture nice to know they have collaboration in PUSA agricultural institute.. Israel is simply sizing up India as a new 'big brother to look after Israel', since America's commitment and influence on Arab-Israel issues are on the wane. Not to mention, Israel recognizes the potential power of India as it is rising economically and militarily as well as its geo-strategic position in relation to mid-east. It however, most certainly doesnt mean that Israel 'means well'- a parasite doesn't mean well- it only looks for a bigger/newer creature to feed off of (in this case, creature being India). I am all for buying weaponry from Israel and not going out of our way to antagonize them, but i am most definitely against any sort of alliance with Israel or helping its interests- as i said, the nation of Israel shouldn't exist in the first place on an ethical/moral basis ! India sucks up to Israel that's what we did litrally when we went bankrupt and that's what we will have to do in time to come whenver we find ourselves in dock viz a viz security issues.. because Usa is not going to come with open support we have no option but to depend on Israel.. Instead of appreciating it u are hallucinating for the event in distant future tense.. If Israel doesn;t want it Usa is not going to support indian bid for UN and there goes any chance for permanent member
