Aussies still No.1 - for now Australia remains on top of the ICC one-day international world rankings for now, but South Africa is poised to reclaim pole position. Ricky Ponting's team slumped to a 2-0 defeat in the Commonwealth Bank Series finals against India. The 2007 World Cup champion entered the series on 130 ratings points but dropped three points to be locked with South Africa on 127. Australia remains No.1 when the ratings are calculated beyond the decimal point, but South Africa will go ahead of it if the Proteas can sweep Bangladesh in their three-game series which begins on Sunday. If Bangladesh manages to win just one game, Australia will open a two-point gap on South Africa. India accrued three points as a result of the series to move alongside New Zealand on 113. Sri Lanka, the Commonwealth Bank Series' third team, dropped one ratings point to return home on 107. Meanwhile, Australia has been confirmed as the top seed for September's ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan. South Africa, winner of the inaugural tournament in 1998 in Bangladesh, will be seeded second followed in order by New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England and the West Indies in the eight-team tournament. The groupings will be announced on March 12. ICC one-day rankings 1 Australia 127 2 South Africa 127 3 New Zealand 113 4 India 113 5 Pakistan 109 6 Sri Lanka 107 7 England 105 8 West Indies 96 9 Bangladesh 47 10 Ireland 28 11 Zimbabwe 18 12 Kenya 0
