Clearly this guy isn't the brightest bulb in terms of captaincy, but when it comes to his batting he's not much of a shining beacon either. Eng 2014, Oz 2017, NZ 2020 & all of them were important series! If he'd done even moderately well in the 2 away series, we'd have either drawn or won them given the position we were in at certain times. For me Brat isn't even in the top 10 list of Indians who can play swing well, the last England tour was his peak & while the numbers were great he also failed at crucial moments playing *in stupid shots. Cute little tickle first ball walking across the stumps off Benihana Stokes, after surviving the opening spell from the top 2 seamers, then another *in stupid lunge which got him bat pad (or lbw?) off Moenitharan 

 

For all the talk of him as being a great chaser, he *in leaves the team 50 or 100 off the target even when he's looking set. What ails Brat the destroyer mental midget
