Desi Cartman Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 The family court in Paldi witnessed high drama on Friday when a man began beating his wife with an iron rod, right in the midst of proceedings. Jayesh Purohit, 42, a school teacher in Isanpur, was separated from his wife Shama last year. Shama lived with her two children in Kheda. She had filed an application in the family court against Purohit demanding maintenance from him. During the hearing, Purohit lost temper and began screaming at his wife, in the presence of the judge and the advocates. :omg: Even as the judge pleaded the advocates to nab him, he picked up an iron pipe lying there and bashed his wife twice, much to the shock of everyone present. :omg: Shama started bleeding profusely and was immediately rushed to a hospital. Purohit was arrested by the Ellisbridge police and produced before the sessions judge. He was granted bail. Link
