Parth Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 My dad just bought me a new cricket bat ready for the 2008 season from India and the shop person told him that they recommend putting an anti scuff sheet. I've never used this and is it necessary.
WKmaster89 Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 ya I'd definitely recommended it. It helps and keeps the face clean from all the marks that the ball leaves.
King Tendulkar Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Yes get one. Will cost less then a fiver and can save small cracks developing and can protect edges. Amust for a player like you who will generally not use the middle of the bat!

What are you on about, I always hit the middle of the bat, remember the last match of the season, you were there spurring me on. :two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up::top::top:

Parth Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 Anyway, do you put the anti-scuff sheet before you first use the bat after its been oiled, or can you use it for like half the season, basically when do you put it on.
Parth Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 doesn't matter for tailenders. I ain't a tailender, i open, atleast i aint an ump who gets nothing but complaints :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
umpire Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 >I ain't a tailender, i open, i reckon your 12th man. there ain't no difference between tailender and opener in England. They all score same.

Parth Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 At least I ain't as bad as dsr he's worse than Martin
King Tendulkar Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Fack of! I am your hero! As for scuff sheets!if your bat needs oiling which many bats dont now, especially from India. Then oil first then put scuff sheet on even before knocking in. Make sure your scuff sheet covers the edges as well. As this in particular is where cracks can start. What bat did you get pup?
