fineleg Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 The miles expire in 3 years (36 months). Some airlines wont let miles expire if you make a travel through them again. They will re-start the clock again. http://www.lufthansa.com/online/portal/lh/us/miles_and_more/program?nodeid=499167&l=en&cid=1000390 http://www.lufthansa.com/online/portal/lh/us/nonav/no_taxonomy_simple?nodeid=1818512&l=en&cid=1000390 Do you know if Lufthansa follows that? or they just let the miles expire in 36 months from date of travel no matter what. If so, this is one lousy frequent flyer program!
fineleg Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 Lufthansa Miles and More is part of Star Alliance (this has United Airlines, US Airways). Does this mean that you can use Lufth miles for booking domestic tickets within US using United Airlines for example? http://www.staralliance.com/en/travellers/benefits/frequent_flyer_programmes.html
