I think this game, more than any other, reminded me of the backward step we took under Dhoni in WI 2011 especially the last test where we gave up chase way too early! The safety first approach is exactly opposite of what we saw by Cummins in Pak or Eng at their home, then we all saw what happened in SA & now here in Eng. Looks like we might be close to returning back to the dark days of test mediocrity, I dunno when but there's a fairly good chance we'll go to the middle of the pack fairly soon 

 

Just as a backdrop none has chased over 200 in Ind vs Ind since Viv in 87, we should've declared at least 10-15 overs early & tried to buy that win by dangling a carrot against a mediocre side!
