Drop Kohli to bring old Kohli back

I hate to say this but peak Kohli was an asset . 
 

i attribute his current failures since two years on 

 

a- age . Not reversible 

b - too much meaningless cricket . Ipl etc 

c - lack of threat of being dropped 

 

this last one is the biggest reason for his poor performance . He began to believe in his myth . We knew he was a poor captain but somehow , media and fanboys covered up his captaincy . We won tests cause of bowlers like bumrah and ashwin but he kept on getting accolades . 
 

today , if anything , he needs to be dropped . He needs to do the yards again . Play ranji , spend time to reassess his game.  
 

indeed , india has no ability to retire or give a kick to aged stars . Kapil , tendulkar , dhoni and now Kohli have overstayed by at least two years . The shamelessness and power only seems to have increased with time .

On the contrary the selectors are begging Kohli to play against Zimbabwe.

 

Kohli is big draw due to his star power,endorsement. There is no other star in the Indian team now.

 

If Kohli fails continuously for 2 years ,no one will be able to drop.him,Kohli still will decide when he will go for vacation

The replacement choosed  for Kohli when he takes rest are such that Kohli can just walk back in the playing 11 whenever he wants.

 

Hooda was dropped for Kohli.after scoring a century ,and no one was concerned.

 

Gill maybe the one who can replace Kohli ,but he has to consistently score big scores to even being considered to be in the squad

you cannot have a player play a game and then bring Kohli back.  Selectors need to drop and allow a consistent run for other player . 
 

hooda not doing well in odi for two three games means nothing . Have faith like u had for pant and they will come good 

 

axar , pant ,thakur , Ayer have been given a long run 

 

the only position is no 3 - no player given a long run to allow Kohli to be there with no performance . Gill , SRK , sky , Samson are good long term contenders for this position . Pick one and make them play across formats . But we keep on giving has been Kohli to play and rest at will like this is his fathers business .
