Chakdephatte
One good thing that happened in last few years in IPL is low number of Tom, Dick, and Harries from BBL. For majority of last decades, all franchises were spending the highest part of their foreign cap on these undeserving picks. This year only 13 Australians playing in IPL, less than with South Africa which has 16 players. Not long ago, the later did not find any attraction by bidders. Partially because of the kind of talent England have produced in short format. They were first brought at base prices but now find themselves in demand. And now with IPL franchises owning all South League and UAE league teams, the former will be go to country for all franchise. That is the final nail in coffin for these run of the mill Aussies. CSK going for Magala clearly shows this. Edited April 11, 2023 by Chakdephatte
Chakdephatte
Zampa, Stoinis, Warner, Maxwell, Marsh, Ellis, Tim David, Hazlewood are all deserving. Top T20 players. Remaining five or six are bought on cheap prices, so not a big deal. tweaker
