In any case, your examples don't prove anything. Germany is a very tall side, the tallest in the competition. And football is dominated by taller players, particularly the nations that do well. How do you explain , Spain the shortest team in the competition thoroughly dominate taller teams like Italy or Russia ? I dispute the fact that football is dominated by taller players. Latin American Countries hardly classify as tall and they routinely do well against Europe. It certainly helps to have height in certain Positions especially on the defense including the Goal keeper.
