SachDan Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Is there any ICFer from kerela here? Now days I can see too much posting of Hindi,Urdu,Bengali,Punjabi,kannada,Marathi n Tamil words here...its so sad that I couldn't find a single Malayalee here up to now.

Would be interesting since we Indians are brainwashed that South Indian languages are Dravidian languages and Sanskrit is Aryan language hence outsiders!:giggle:

triam Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Hello Sandtest, I know telugu (mother tongue), tamil( born and brought up in chennai) and a little mallu (thru wife, really really basic though), is your question whether there is an infusion of sanskrit words in these languages or if these lanuages originated from sanskrit?
