What is even the point of domestic cricket?

It's funny as Samson's last ODI was against SA where he scored a hundred in SA in 2023 and he never played another ODI for India. No rationale in picking players. Shreyas Iyer had a good VH trophy but again his performances for India recently hasn't been great. It seems like the selectors would go to any lengths to keep Rohit and Kohli in the team and sacrifice all young players in the process. Cannot believe that KL Rahul has been picked as the only keeper and who is the lower order hitter in the team? Gill, Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Virat are all same batters with different names. Expect India to score below par totals which the bowlers are going to struggle to defend. Jadeja and Sundar are not hitters and Pandya is the only one who can actually get some big hits away. India could have picked someone like Rinku Singh and Samson in the squad and played them in the middle order, but again our selectors are useless and can only do star service. Sad for Karun as well, he is one batter who plays domestic cricket and also plays county cricket during off season. Has shown his LOI skills as well but still continues to get ignored. Very poor squad and I don't think Bumrah will even play.
