What happened to the A tours? We badly need them to idenitfy and nuture the talent ..esp for test teams

I think India just had an A tour to England couple of months ago. BCCI is very good in arranging for those. The team selection for the A tours though is questionable. We have seen players selected for these tours who have no chance of making the Indian team. Seems like BCCI is giving domestic performers some sort of consolation prize with these tours which is not what it is meant to be.

The A team for the England tour were mostly selected were those who were in the test squad .

Eashwaran, Sarfaraj, Shardul, Jurel,Rahul,Sai,Karun.

 

The highest wicket takers and scorers from the Ranji Trophy were not considered
