Guest dada_rocks Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 http://outlookindia.com/full.asp?fodname=20080717&fname=cpm&sid=1 'Political Morality' Is it ok for convicted criminals to vote for the government? The CPM polit bureau says "the Congress leadership will be seen by the entire country as taking recourse to convicted criminals for sustaining their government." CPI(M) Polit Bureau | e-mail | one page format | feedback: send | The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement: It is reported that some of the Lok Sabha members who have been convicted for serious crimes and who are in jail are being mobilized to support the confidence vote in the Lok Sabha. There are three such members: 1. Rajiv Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav has been convicted for the murder of Ajit Sarkar, CPI(M) MLA. He has been sentenced to life imprisonment. 2. Mohd. Shahabuddin has been convicted in a case of kidnapping with intent to murder. He has been sentenced to life imprisonment. He is also facing charges in the case of the murder of Chandrasekar, a former President of the JNU Students Union and a CPI(ML) leader. 3. Suraj Bhan has been convicted in a case of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. While legally they may get the right to attend parliament and vote there is a question of political morality involved. The Congress leadership will be seen by the entire country as taking recourse to convicted criminals for sustaining their government. PS: All three MPS belong to my state of Bihar.:hatsoff:
Lurker Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 PS: All three MPS belong to my state of Bihar.:hatsoff: Yeah man bade sharam ki baat hai :nervous: Aise who is the real kingpin of all these? Koi ek to hoga jis se baaki sab dare? Pappu Yadav is past, so is Anand Mohan Singh(by the way was he hung?). My bet is between SurajBhan Singh and Dalip singh. Or maybe its Sahabuddin?

Guest dada_rocks Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 http://www.indianexpress.com/story/337119.html My criminals better than your crimnals rather when crimnals support me it's kosher only when they support you then morality gets invoked.. I am not at all surprised about this coming from forked-tongue Sitaram Yechrui after all he is the same guy who iused to sell the fantassy of not even single drop of bloos was shed at Tinanamon Square.. woooooooo hooooooooo hail the moral crusaders among communists
Guest dada_rocks Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Referring to the meeting between the Left leaders and BSP chief Mayawati, Veerappa Moili said the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister was facing charges before the Supreme Court. "Karat goes there and meets her. Is there no morality involved here?" asked Moily. Moili sir conveneintly forgets she was facing same charge when SOnia Mata stooped before Mayawati to get her boot-licker elected as president..
THX_1138 Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 i am curious... if convicted and sentenced for crimes such as mansalughter or more serious (homicide), aren't you automatically disenfranchised?
