Most news channels are busy filling their prime time with the debates over whether Kumari Mayavati is going to be the next PM of India. This political horse-trading has brought the nation where any Tom,Dick and Harry can sit on that priceless chair...As a citizen of India we all should be ashamed of this development.

Its possible!!
No way it is possible. BSP cannot create so much importance so that they can get the post of PM. They are going to be an important factor for formation of government but not that they can get a PM's post

If n totally uninspiring, sleepy-face Deve Gowda can become PM, then why not Mayawati? Forget Gowda, atleast he had some base people support, with his part JD( Secular) in Karnataka, but what about IK Gujral? That guy isnt even a politician. He was an academic who was busy writing some book and articles, when someone called him up and asked him ' Do you want to become PM?' Mayawati is 10 times more charismatic, has a party cadre support thats probably a 100 times more than those two guys. Will be interesting though. Will her Dalit tag come in the way? Indian politics is still dominated by upper caste Hindus? Will they reconcile to the fact of a Dalit being a PM?

Time to read more MM After 1996 elections, when the United Front government was formed at the center under the leadership of H. D. Deve Gowda, he was again named Minister of External Affairs. During this second tenure, he propounded his 'Gujral Doctrine', which called for better relations with neighbors. Before becoming the Prime Minister of India in April 1997, he served the country as Union Minister or Minister of State holding different portfolios in the Ministries of Communications and Parliamentary Affairs, Information & Broadcasting, Works & Housing, Planning and Ministry of External Affairs.

She made her peace with upper caste Hindus in UP . So , I guess her Dalit tag might not be a problem nationally.

Sonia defines corruption I would say........ Who sits on the board of Maruti Udyog ltd with zero education to support the designation.. Who faciliatates her Jeejazi's Qutrochi's money--laundering out of India's coffers.. heck if Maywati steals you might be assured the money will remain in india she might buy an ostentatious stuff erect few more statues of Ambedkar but soniaji makes sure money gets peddled out of india.. Who is co-traveller with the most corrupt politician of india i.e Laloo Prasad Yadav.. all others pale in comparison..

Apo, Gujral had a lot of political pedigree, never denied that. But he hardly enjoyed any mass people support. He was a 'comprimise' candidate, much like how Manmohan Singh is now.

Am pretty sure DR has no particular liking for Mayawati. But his hatred for Sonia has made him stand solidly behind Maya... :D

I do not want to say anything which can be taken as caste remark or something. Mayawati once stood up from my city for Lok Sabha and I know how deserving candidate she is
