He didn't fix this match. The way it played out towards the end, with SA taking a flurry of wickets and England stumbling before they just got home was very genuine. The only thing that you could say was fixed, was the decision to forfeit the innings and make a game of it. A bookmaker had offered Cronje a leather jacket and a substantial donation to a charity of his choice for re-starting what had initially looked like a dead game. Millions of rupees were turned over in India as the betting market opened for that last day when all three results looked possible.

lol, isnt that match fixing?? sure the test didnt start out like that..but he got the phone call from the bookmaker on day 4 i think.. and cronje listened to him and did what he told him to do...and got money from him..

Nothing like this had happened in the leather jacket test.
