suraj Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 It is sad that when we are under such threat from the jehadi fanatics we are carrying out battles over mini-issues and instead of having an Indian identity we are fighting over Marathi, Tamilian, Hindu, Muslim idenitty. Raj Thackarey should be buried alive in a grave along with Imam Bukhari with rats released to eat their flesh.

Althought it wont happen I would expect nothing less than a Parliament debate on this. Currently I work in an assignment where I am working with 4 Tamilians, 5 Hyderabadi, couple of Gujjus and sole members from Bihar, Orissa and Kerela. I find it humiliating as an Indian that when we do get together(say during lunch breaks) we have to converse in English. How can a "proud" Indian not feel that we maintain our Nationality via a language that is completely alien to us. Now ideally I would like Hindi to be used as common Indian language due to sheer number on its side but we could as easily use Bengali, Urdu, Tamil I really wouldnt care so long as we are not dumb to use a foreign language to bond us together. As for Amitabh and family although he is not in the wrong here, I can not help but wondre how much his stature has fallen in nation's eye. If anyone, and I mean ANYONE, tried this in late 80s he would have been lynched by his fans by now. Probably Amitabh is singing - Jindagi to bewafa hai eik din thukrayegi xxx

Keeping in mind that the MNS party workers had vandalised the cinema which was supposed to show the premiere of Bachchan's movie releasing this week, it makes perfect business sense for him to apologize (for speaking the national language:cantstop:). The MNS would have certainly pulled out all stops to make AB's personal and professional life difficult. On the other hand, how can one expect the common man to stand up to these goons when the rich & the powerful are afraid to do so.

Looks like the great AB has been publicly humiliated ! I hope this kind of anti - outsider sentiments does not spread to Bangalore as well.
