DomainK
Oh man, the tension and then the victory. What a feeling it was. I had almost given up all hopes and when misbah played that shot and aired that ball, I thought its all over. Even the commentators were quiet. Then when the ball came near the ground, there appeared Sree and when he took the catch, I remember, I jumped out of my seat. What a moment it was. Even I was too young when India won the WC in 83. So this moment has great value for me. Link to comment
ludhianvi
That was such a dramatic victory with the game game swinging from one team to the other. My heart rate could have competed to that of a hummingbird that day. With Jogi given the last over and him bowling a wide and a six hit by Misbah, it seemed all over. Even the Pakistani cheerleader was jumping up and down with joy in the dugout. Then Misbah played that sweepshot, I swore, thinking it was all over. But then a moment of silence was more thrilling than the buzz in the entire match. Ravi Shastri screaming, that its all over as Sressanth took such an important catch in a pressure situation. It was a superb day. BRILLIANT GAME!!! Link to comment

kablooee87
As painful as that was to watch, I still get a sense of nostalgia while watching that. Some amazing performances in what is undoubtedly the best and most exciting major final in cricketing history. Pretty hard to look back at it as "bad times." The match finished at around 7 am local time for me. After it finished I had a shower and got a ride to work from my brother. We usually chat quite a bit in the car but that day neither of us said anything for a good 15 minutes when my brother finally said "Did that really just happen?" I just looked back at him with a affirmative/bewildered look. And that was it, I went to work and did **** all the whole day. PS. In some sort of weird way, my respect for Misbah sky rocketed after this match. Link to comment

Predator_05
Great memories. The Indian team looked desperate to win it and they got what they deserved. Loved the way they knocked out South Africa - RP Singh was irresistible - and the Australia match was an incredible comeback from a point where i thought they would lose easily. They played some amazing cricket Btw' date=' I'll never forget the state of ICF immediately before the England match.[/quote'] ...it was even better after the game...i typed Yuvraj's name in caps for an entire week...:haha: Link to comment

Ram
Brilliant tournament, brilliant action.. Kinda catapulted T20 to the entire world. That last ball in the final, when Misbah scooped it, was one of the rare ocassions in my life when my heart missed a beat. Simply breathtaking action. However, my favorite match was the semi-final qualifying match between India and S.Africa. That catch off Smith by Karthik, that flying run-out of Rohit Sharma to get rid of Kemp, RPS destroying Pollock's stumps.... Woah, tis like it all happened yesterday! Link to comment
