A team's net run rate is calculated by deducting from the average runs per over scored by that team throughout the relevant portion of the competition, the average runs per over scored against that team throughout the relevant portion of the competition. So bat first score 500 + our only hope :wall: :wall:

Re: Which Gives Better Chance To Improve NRR? Here is the LOWDOWN... In any given game the NRR differential will be HIGHER if you bowl out a side for say 100 and score 100 in 10 overs... The differential will be...100/10 i.e. 10 - 100/50 i.e. 2.0... NRR 8.0 But the FINAL NRR is calculated based across TOTAL runs scored/overs taken and to raise the TOTAL NRR need a HUGE win... scoring lots and lots of runs...and bowling out the other team cheap..
