A captain's success in terms of match winning is definitely limited by the overall ability of the team. But that does not mean that anyone can captain the team and it does not matter. Thats idiotic. One captain can motivate better and extract more from the players than other captains. Dhoni is a much better captain than Kumble. Link to comment
