Thats a statement on team's abilities and not necessarily the captain's. A captain gets tested in difficult circumstances and with a team like that, you quite rarely run into any. Captain Ponting had been so far shielded by great players. Now that the team is facing the real difficult circumstances, captain Ponting is getting exposed. It was Ponting's poor captaincy that let go the grip on the first test. And today, its most idiotic piece of captaincy ever.
