Kumar Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Hello, I am at university, dropped pharmacy and am now 20 studying my second year in Actuarial science and computer science. I am highly interested in purchasing a new laptop. My old mac has broken and ever since that long hard day at the office, I have literally swore I would never purchase a mac again unless I did video editing etc. So it really comes down to two option at the minute and startled on which one should I get. I have put this on a laptop forum but they keep telling me to purchase a mac and have different opinons. I would like your opinions as well, as as far as im concerned we have better ict experts compared to the likes of high school of melbourne geek club website. So the two laptops. The first one is an alienware m17. I am literally a die hard gamer and apart form night life I am a no lifer who loves to purchase games and play them all night. I knwo you are saying purchase a nother cheap one as I have used an alineware and they are reliable and find them easy to upgrade. It will ahve crossifre with 3850 ati CARDS. Next one is a thinkpad s500. A very good and handy laptop. The good thing is is that it has already 6 installiation discs with it which are red hat, fedora, ubuntu, mint and some other one. why linux? I am doing programming and it is extremly interesting and I love it. Also Lenvov is a very reliable company and there thinkpads are extremley stylish and neat as well. So which one should i buy or insome peoples cases should I ren dual boot system on alienware and isnatall linux?:winky: thanks:rotfl:

I know the bombs have started and affected peoples lives and had an affect on the indian community but nevertheless that doesnt mean I shouldnt take about laptops. (Im not saying this in an offensive way, if taken soryy again) dont want to cause an argument peace:two_thumbs_up:

Its mourning time around here.
