Can someone please explain this to me; When a govt. bus driver is careless and ditches his vehicle on the side-walk killing/injuring some people, he is prosecuted for negligence and reckless driving and put behind bars. Fair enough. Whenever a disaster strikes, be it a terror attack or floods/earthquake etc, leading to loss of lives/property, why arent the public officials ( at all levels), probed and prosecuted? Almost any event that results in loss of life HAS to have an element of human negligence. Why are these people not prosecuted?

Good question I think media drives the narrative.. In fair world instead of raising the mumbai police to martyr status we should be frying them because they failed to police in face of specific actionable intelligence.. Before anybody can move media has taken the decison that so and so is hero and rest is criminal . Politicians are the easy fall guy. MUmbai had every tool that is needed except NSG. Mumbai has tough laws MCOCA. Mumbai got requiste intelligence input. Mumbai police is awass with money so no lack of resources either. Where did Mumbai poltician err . But then again Mumbai ATS had inputs specific one the one that is called actionable yet they were caught napping. Failed miserably.. Other than NSG going by what NSG did after arrival that is waiting and waiting for three days before entering hotel after arrival I am not sure how much it woudl have helped even if their service were available within an hour. Once terrorists took their position this whole operation advanced on their terms......Wait and watch game went on I am sure had those top Brass not lost their lives media wud have been frying mumbai police and ATS right now. The moment someone dies in line of duty whether fighting or caught unawares and ambushed there is no room for serious questioning of their efficiency. ATS chief had no custom built body armour he was shown trying to fit the armour one by one yet he ran as if he was going to tackle some Rahul Raj or whatever was that Bihari boy's name.. His vehicle was not bulleproof......
