Chandan
Looks like the first wish of Srikant might be fulfilled in the near future. But I'm not sure about the second one. Link to comment
EnterTheVoid
so how far are we from achieving at least the ODI section of the plan? Good job Kris -> Backing up the rhetoric with solid results is what I like best Link to comment

Chandan
Nah. Even if we win next two matches, we'll reach just 123 rating points while SA is at number one with 125 points, and they aren't playing any ODI series at the moment to have even a chance to lose on that. Link to comment

What if v rout them? will it give us a lead over SA? SA also have to win against Australia if they have scheduled a one day series at home against Aussies.can be potentially tough for them. Shane
^^ SA and Oz too play 5 ODI's about the same time Link to comment
SachDan
^^ I think winning the series in NZ will definitely make us no.1 Link to comment
Chandan
See, every match we win, will add one point and every match we lose will deduct one point. Now you can work it out. Also, SA will play 5 ODIs with Australia next month and Australia already has to play 4 ODIs with the Kiwis. The same equation apply to them too--win will add one point and loss will deduct one point. Therefore it becomes quite complicated when three-four teams are playing together. It'll be better if we forget about the ranking and play to our best, testing the reserves in between to prepare a pool of players for coming time too. Playing well will take care of the ranking. Chandan
Is it that simple ... wat abt away matches and series wins ??? No extra points for those in ODIs. Why don't you go to ICC site and then check the 'predictor' in their ranking? You'll get a good idea. Link to comment
