Brainfade Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 i have no say and opinion on abortion-this should be left for the women to decide(in any country) and no man has a right to legislate it.I read that most women(70-30) support roe-v wade(abortion law in us) and it they should maintain status quo on that subject. I understand the support for Roe v. Wade. I understand a woman's right to control her body. In its broadest application, it goes against my personal moral fabric, but I can understand that reasonable people can vote to support it. I also understand that not all pregnancies are by choice. I support (albeit reluctantly) the need for abortion in case of rape or incest. I am only against the government funding procedures that result in the death of a fetus which was conceived by a consensual mistake. What I am specifically asking you about is PBA (partial-birth abortion).
Brainfade Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 if you knew that that ban was about, you might shut the frack up. that particular policy forbids tax payer's money being donated to charities that provide medical assistance to the needy in places such as sub saharan africa. a place where rape is used as a tool for control and terror. a place where a large percentage of under age girls, at the precipice of puberty have a pregnancy thrust upon them, often in an act of violence and almost always non consentually otherwise. if an aide organization provides assistance to these victims by offering the choices of planned parenthood, then are these organizations rocking the boat so much that the self righteous, believers of a fictional fracker who is too absorbed listening to idiots pray to him day and night, that you must subject these victims to further suffering? well frack you and your philosophy. Stop the rape - kill the rapists. The job of Planned Parenthood and other NGOs should be (a) to educate the entire populace and (b) to empower women by providing contraception, free medication and good nutrition. I am sorry, but I don't see anywhere in your "argument" where pregnancy termination will stop the rape and torture of women. As usual, barking up the wrong tree.
