Had a hard time because i think only some portion is imitated chura liya hai.... hai mera dil... seem to be different meter

yep churaliya it is. it is not an out and out copy paste job though.

i think you got it. Bingo! Never thought that was copied "inspired"!!!
inspired not copied only 1 portion sounds similar rest is different ( maybe other portions were "inspired" from other songs)

all I can think of is Shammi Kapoor's "Dekho tumko nahin hai khabar" but no way it is a copy- Shammi's song has very different tempo if my guess is right

Thousands of those are available for composers, and he usually gets them when that particular sound is hard to make in India (or no players for the instrument, etc.). Not quite what we're discussing but thats where a lot of "similarity" and "familiarity" comes from.
